DAY 3: Sunday, 22st July 2018
“Ride the rolling tides of madness.”
It is Sunday and the last day of Weekend 1 is here. I still have not experienced everything what the festival offers to its visitors. I am little bit tired and my back hurts due to all the walking and dancing during the last two days. All these negative feelings are gone at the moment I cross the entrance. I start to feel the energy, rhythm and good vibes again.
In Day 1 story I focused on my first impression of the festival. In Day 2 I tried to describe the festival area including things to do there. Day 3 I would like to dedicate to the story about Dreamville.
Dreamville, a camping area that became home for 38.000 People of Tomorrow. When I see Dreamville for the first time, I am shocked. It is something totally different than simple festival camping area I was used to from the festivals I visited before. If Tomorrowland is a Thing, Dreamville is definitely a Thing as well. My first word is: WOW! Dreamville takes camping to the next level.
The camping area is fancy and huge. There are different types of accommodation where everybody gets one's money's worth. From your own tents, through already set-up tents that you can just pack and take with you when you leave, to the lodges for people seeking more comfort. It depends only on you how you experience your stay.
Apart from the great environment, you can find restaurants, sauna, bath tubs, rest areas with hammocks, place to exercise or get your body stretched in yoga classes. You can even get married here on Sundays. Isn’t it amazing? Today is Sunday and I come to look closer to one ongoing wedding where the couple that met in Tomorrowland some years ago is saying “YES”.
After discovering most of the possibilities that Dreamville offers, I get to the place called “Market”. If you imagine it as a place where you can just go and buy stuff, you are right, but it is more than that. I feel like in a square of a real town. You can get almost everything you need here. Are you craving fresh baked pastry or beer? Do you need your hair to be done for a party? Is your clothing dirty? Everything is possible here.
Tomorrowland Radio for those who need music 24/7 is not missing. How cool is that? The good vibes are all around because, after all, it is the place where People of Tomorrow are gathering, sharing the passion and making your stay unforgettable.
The Sunday afternoon I spend in the festival. I party on different stages, enjoy the great food, dance and chat with people from different countries. It is not hard at all to make friends here even if you are shy. I just sit down and in a moment I have new friends from Brazil, France, Philippines or the United States. Many people travel long distances from other end of the world just to be part of this festival.
The last performance of Martin Garrix on the Main Stage with fireworks continued by closing ceremony is breathtaking. I am tired, but I do not want to leave at all. I wish I could stay here forever.
